The Challenge

Our client, a leader in workwear, was on a mission to establish a new standard for sustainable practices and products in the work clothing and work boots category.

Gemic was approached to help leadership identify, size, and select the most salient opportunities for growth and innovation.

Our Approach

Using a combination of stakeholder interviews and conversations with consumers, we identified a dozen innovation territories, which we translated into concepts for new products & services.

We then sized the market potential of the concepts by measuring the growth of analogous categories and consumer sentiment.

The Key Insight

Sustainability in workwear had the most breakthrough potential when it carried the promise of being able to extend the life of beloved items despite the heavy wear and tear.
